LOCATION

Located 3 cun proximal to LI-5 Yangxi on the line connecting LI-5 Yangxi and LI-11 Quchi.
3 cun above LI-5 Yangxi on the forearm.
With the elbow flexed and the radial side of the arm upward, the point is on the line connecting LI-5 Yangxi and LI-11 Quchi, 3 cun above the crease of the wrist.
Note: to locate this point, dividethe distance between LI-5 Yangxi and LI-11 Quchi in half and then halve the distance between the midpoint and LI-5 Yangxi.

NEEDLING

Straight insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
Puncture perpendicularly or obliquely 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
Transverse-oblique insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
