LOCATION

In the tender depression superior to the medial end of the scapular spine, midway between SI-10 Naoshu and the spinous process of T-12.
In the depression at the extreme medial end of the and above the spine of the scapula, in the supraspinous fossa.

NEEDLING

Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Oblique lateral insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Caution: Too medial or deep medial insertion may puncture the Lung.
Straight insertion 0.5-0.8 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness.
Puncture perpendicularly 0. 3 to 0.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
