LOCATION

On the midline of the sternum, level with the junction of the first intercostal space and the sternum.
1 cun below REN-21 Xuanji, level with the first intercostal space.
On the anterior midline, at the midpoint of the sternal angle, level with the first intercostal space.

NEEDLING

Transverse insertion directed inferiorly or superiorly along the channel, 0.5 to 1 cun.
Slanted insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
