LOCATION

Just below the buttock, on the line directly superior to UB-40 Weizhong, in the center of the transverse gluteal crease, in a depression between the hamstring muscles.
On the posterior aspect of the thigh, at the midpoint of the transverse crease below the buttock.
On the posterior side of the thigh, at the midpoint of the inferior gluteal crease.
Located at the midpoint of the transverse gluteal fold.

NEEDLING

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 2 cun.
Straight insertion, 2 to 3 cun, causing local distention and soreness or an electric numb sensation extending down the leg.
Puncture perpendicularly 1 to 1.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
