LOCATION

On the lateral side of the chest, in the second intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the mid-sternal line.

NEEDLING

Transverse-oblique insertion along the intercostal space, 0.5-1 cun.
Caution: Avoid deep insertion.
Perpendicular insertion carries a substantial risk of pneumothorax.
Slanted insertion, 0.5-0.8 cun.
Puncture obliquely, 0.3-0.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
