Ingredients

Ma Huang 3 g,Fang Ji 3 g,Ren Shen 3 g,Huang Qin 3 g,Gui Xin 3 g,Gan Cao 3 g,Shao Yao 3 g,Chuan Xiong 3 g,Xing Ren 3 g,Fu Zi 2 g,Fang Feng 45 g,Sheng Jiang 15 g.

Explanation

Ma Huang: Facilitating the flow of the lung-Qi to relieve asthma.

Xing Ren: Discending the lung-Qi, assisting Ma Huang in removing heat from the lung to relieve asthma.

Fu Zi: Restoring yang, and aiding Ma Huang and Gan Cao in relieving exterior.

Fang Feng: Dispelling wind and releasing exterior, expelling wind-damp, alleviating pain.

Ren Shen: Tonifying qi.

Gan Cao: Tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Sheng Jiang: Regulating the stomach and descending the adverse flow of Qi.

Rou Gui: Promoting Functional activity of the Qi of the lower-Jiao.

Fang Ji: expelling wind and removing dampness.

Huang Qin: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.

Chuan Xiong and Shao Yao: Tonifying blood and activating blood.

Effect

Dispel wind and strengthen the body resistance, warm meridians and dredge collaterals.

Indications

Apoplexy, facial paralysis, aphasia with stiff tongue.

Administrations

Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken three times a day.
