3.5 cun lateral to the spinous process of the first lumbar vertebra.
3.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline, on the level of the lower border of the spinous process of the first lumbar vertebra.

NEEDLING

Straight insertion 1-1.5 cun.
0.8–1 cun obliquely in a medial direction.
Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
