LOCATION

In the first intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the
anterior midline.
On the chest, in the first intercostal space, 4 cun lateral
to the midline, REN-20 Huagai, on the mamillary line.
Note: the intercostal space curves upward, so ST-14 Kufang
will lie superior to REN-20 Huagai.

NEEDLING

Puncture obliquely 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
Transverse-oblique insertion laterally or medially along the
intercostal space 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Transverse insertion
superiorly or inferiorly along the channel.
Slanted insertion 0.5 to 0.8 cun.

NOTES
