Dan Dou Chi and Huo Xiang: Dispersing external pathogens.
Hou Po and Ban Xia: Drying dampness and activating the spleen.
Fu Ling, Zhu Ling, Ze Xie and Yi Ren: Draining dampness, removing excessive fluid by promoting diuresis.
Xing Ren: Promoting the flow of the lung-Qi.
Tong Cao: Inducing diuresis to treat stranguria.
Bai Dou Kou: Resolving dampness and promoting the flow of qi, warming middle energizer.
