Hiccup is derived from stomach qi rising up that touching diaphragm, disorders on up and downs of qi in stomach, resulting in frequent and short hiccups sounds that one can not even control.

Food Therapeutic principles:

1 Mild vegetables can promote digestion, relieve hiccups. Eat more bananas, shepherd's purse, fungus, mung bean, sesame to maintain smooth stool.

2 Intake appropriate ginger, pepper, crucian carp Decoction to warm stomach. Walnut, mutton, dog meat can also warm the stomach.

3 Eat more digestible foods with high carbohydrate and protein, but with low fat, semi-liquid or liquid food, eat less in each time and change into more meals.

Various types of food

1 Vinegar drink: vinegar 20ml, cool boiling water 20ml, blend anddrink slowly in one time.

2 Eggs: Boil one egg and apply after soaking in water.

3 May bloom juice:500g may bloom, smash and drink the juice of 15ml each time for three times a day.

4 Fresh yolk: Swallow one egg yolk.

A. Cold in stomach

食疗方Food principles:

1 Two peels honey drink: qing pi, orange peel each 10 grams, orange core 15 grams, zhi qiao, yu jin 6 each grams, boil 30 minutes and make decoction. Add honey when it’s getting warm. Apply 1~2 times a day.

2 Shan zha zhi qiao porridge: shan zha 20 grams, 10 grams of zhi ke, rice 100 grams, 10 grams of sugar. Smash zhi ke into powder for later use. Slice sha zha and boil with rice, add sugar when it’s about to ready.

3 Zi su zi wine: zi su zi 50 grams, 500 grams of rice wine. Smash zi su zi, soak in wine for 3~5 days. Apply several times a day.

4 longan zhe shi drink: longan 7 pieces, 15 grams of zhu shi. Smash Longan, boil zhu shi for decoction. Apply in 4 times of one dose for 2 times daily.

D. Spleen coldness deficiency

3 Fresh ginger stewed with dog meat:120 grams of dog meat, 30 grams of ginger. Put the above two into the pot, add water and simmer well.
